Expressive Arts through Telehealth Counseling, June 3rd
This training will be an overview of specific expressive and creative art practices that multiple clinicians at CCW have adapted to utilizing telehealth platforms. This training is interactive and participants' own practices are encouraged to be shared.
Global Crisis and Trauma in the LGBTQ Community, July 1st
The LGBTQ community experiences trauma at higher rates than the general population. Join us in learning how systems and institutions impact this disparity. Learn practical implementations for clinical practice regarding trauma in the LGBTQ community and learn to identify applicable interventions related to trauma during the COVID-19 crisis.
Global Crisis and LGBTQ Suicide and Safety, August 5th
Suicide is more pervasive in the LGBTQ community than the general population. This training explores risk and protective factors specific to LGBTQ people, assessment tools, and what safety can mean in the LGBTQ population. Participants will learn to identify ways to assess risk during the COVID-19 crisis, as well as safety planning unique to the LGBTQ community.
We are passionate about providing supervision to others in the counseling profession. While using a collaborative approach, we aim to provide a community where we can grow and better our professional selves, by working together to seek a higher level of education and understanding in our field. We are immediately available for supervision/consultation for counselors, social workers and those who are seeking EMDR consultation.
