ALLIE TRIGG, LSW

Allie Trigg, MSW, LSW (She/Her) is a queer, cisgender, white woman interning at Clintonville Counseling and Wellness Center. Her personal experiences with complex trauma, poverty, addiction, and grief serve to ground her work, particularly in supporting adolescents and adults, including those within the LGBTQIA+ community and individuals navigating trauma, chemical dependency, eating disorders, experiences of sexual abuse, and neurodivergence.
Allie is passionate about creating a supportive, affirming, and safe space where clients feel empowered to show up as their full, authentic selves. Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative. She draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), process-oriented therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and strengths-based frameworks. She aims to meet clients where they are, honoring their unique experiences while supporting them in developing skills, increasing self-awareness, and reclaiming a sense of agency in their lives. Allie values authenticity and believes that healing happens within a trusting and genuine therapeutic relationship.
Allie received a Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Psychology from Capital University. She is currently studying at Capital University to obtain her Master’s in Social Work. Her background includes working in roles where she has supported individuals navigating stress, transition, addiction recovery, and emotional challenges, which has deepened her commitment to meeting clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect.
Outside of therapy, when she is not cooped up inside, you can find her spending time in nature, hiking, reading in cozy coffee shops, traveling, and creating meaningful moments with family, friends, and her fur babies.
