Blake Miller, SWT (He/Him/His) is a cisgender, white, able-bodied, gay, married male. He is a social work intern at CCW where he seeks to create a collaborative and supportive environment for the client. Blake believes that therapy should be tailored to the unique perspectives and experiences that each client brings. He is excited to work with clients with a variety of backgrounds and identities. Blake’s clinical interests include anxiety, depressive disorders, religious trauma, and working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. He utilizes a strengths-based approach that incorporates elements of mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).

Blake received his Bachelor of Science in Social Work degree from the Ohio State University in 2016. He interned in a health and wellness program providing case management and support to recently resettled refugees. After graduation, he worked in social work administration at a senior housing and services nonprofit where he managed projects, supervised a team, and provided clinical support to field staff. Through this work, Blake realized that he missed working directly with people in a supportive setting which led him to pursue his Master’s in Social Work from the Ohio State University. Outside of work, Blake enjoys traveling with his husband, playing games with friends, and walking his rescue dog in metro parks.
