Kiliyah is passionate about supporting clients with intersecting marginalized identities as they navigate unique stressors linked to societal oppression. She is passionate about working with clients in larger bodies, the LGBTQ+ community, and clients of color. Kiliyah recognizes oppression as a debilitating force that not only impairs us economically and socially but also psychologically. She intends to support adult and teen clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, grief,
identity issues, and body image concerns.

She is a first-generation college student who received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Diversity Studies from Baldwin Wallace University. She is currently studying at The Ohio State University in order to receive a Master’s of Counselor Education with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling concentration. For several years, Kiliyah has worked in direct service roles as a Registered Behavior Technician and Qualified Mental Health Specialist, where she has supported adolescent clients of color experiencing autism, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety. These experiences have also informed the client-centered care Kiliyah provides within the therapeutic space.

Kiliyah utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Liberation Psychology to support the unique needs of her clients. She prioritizes the therapeutic relationship when administering care and is committed to analyzing the ways in which oppressive systems play a part in our struggle. In her free time Kiliyah enjoys participating in yoga, reading, crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and tuxedo cat.
