Maxwell (Max) Oslejsek, MSW, LSW (He/Him/His) is a queer, white, neurodivergent trans man in a non-disabled body—and a proud short king! Max appreciates working with anyone who walks into the room, and is especially passionate about supporting adolescents, young adults, and queer/trans folks in a therapeutic space.

Max has experience working with individuals navigating social and generalized anxiety, depression, neurodivergence, dissociation, trauma, gender identity exploration and celebration, positive sexual health, and transitional life changes. Max is always open to collaborating with clients on any challenges they encounter, big or small, using a variety of therapeutic modalities: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, and mindfulness self-compassion. Max adapts to each individual client to ensure the best approach, collaborating along each step of the way!

Max received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work degrees from The Ohio State University. In his clinical space, Max acknowledges and challenges the systems of power that perpetuate negative mental health experiences. He uses an anti-oppressive, person-centered, transformative clinical lens in his therapeutic work. Therapy can be difficult, and Max knows this—he encourages every client to come as they are and work at their own pace. Max is there to be the cheerleader in your corner, offering understanding and encouragement as you head into a future that greets you kindly.

Max is notorious for getting into a new hobby and forgetting it a week later, though he especially enjoys digging for the best thrift finds, crafting funky ceramic art, watching anime or horror movies, and spending quality time with his friends.
