Daylen is a LGBTQ+ advocate and makes it a priority to be a safe space in therapy especially for BIPOC. Daylen has a history of mental health experiences with working in residential, outpatient, and inpatient settings for children, adolescents, and adults. Daylen’s practice is rooted in theories that highlight the impact of white supremacy culture, oppression, and discrimination within society and mental health. He actively works to advocate on issues that relate to racial, gender, ethnic, and income matters.
Daylen has experience in working with trauma survivors, LGBTQ+ populations, and clients with suicidal ideation which is why it is a priority to engage in trauma informed care for all clients. Daylen utilizes a strength-based approach and believes that every client has their own power and uniqueness in their personality, experience, identity, and strengths. One of his mission’s is to actively work on bridging the gap between the disconnectedness in society and the intersectionality of the systems that impact mental health care. In Daylen’s free time, he enjoys spending time with his big orange cat and checking out new food spots around the city.
