GROUPS

Benefits of Groups

In a group setting, participants have the opportunity to share their personal stories, struggles, and achievements within a safe and confidential environment. The group members actively listen, provide empathy, and offer feedback, creating a supportive network. The group dynamic allows individuals to gain different perspectives, learn from others' experiences, and develop a sense of belonging.

See below for all of our current group options.

Trans and Gender Expansive “Stitch and Bitch” Social Group

Facilitated by AL Cho, LSW or Imani Yahya, LPC

Calling all Trans and Gender Expansive crafters! This is a group of people gathering virtually for community and conversation. We provide an online room for people to participate in all types of crafting activities, including but not limited to: crochet, knitting, coloring, painting, stitching, scrap booking, while connecting to members of the Trans and Gender Expansive community. This group is facilitated by AL Cho, LSW or Imani Yahya, LPC but it is not considered a therapy group. The identified host will encourage sharing from members in a virtual round table but discussion is not required. Individuals have complete freedom to show up late, leave early, bring dinner, leave their cameras off, or even skip sharing.

The group will meet the second and fourth Tuesday of the Month from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

This group is free.

Therapeutic Dungeons & Dragons

Facilitated by Alexis Burrow, LPCC-S

Your character sheet might just change your life. In this one-of-a-kind therapeutic group, Dungeons & Dragons becomes a doorway into self-discovery, connection, and growth. Through collaborative storytelling and a little bit of magic, participants explore social-emotional skills, practice empathy, and tap into their own resilience, all while embarking on an epic adventure together. The game table becomes a place where metaphor opens doors that traditional therapy sometimes can't. No experience required, just a willingness to roll the dice.

The group will meet virtually on Tuesdays from 7:00pm until 8:30pm, starting May19th.

Cost per group is "pay what you can" between $30-$75.
